
Homeschool Learning Pods
Our Homeschool Literacy & Math Pods combine the structure of evidence-based instruction with the flexibility and connection of a small learning community. Designed for homeschool families, these pods provide standards-aligned, small-group literacy and mathematics instruction tailored to each student’s skill level and grade band.
Meeting twice weekly for 1.5 hours, pods focus on phonics, fluency, vocabulary, comprehension, writing, and math concepts in a supportive environment that fosters both academic growth and confidence. Students receive targeted instruction, engaging activities, and take-home practice to reinforce learning between sessions.

Kinder-1st Gr. Homeschool Learning Pod
Build strong foundations in reading and math through interactive, standards-based learning.
Targeted Reading Skills (Kansas ELA Standards):
Phonemic awareness and letter-sound correspondence
Decoding and blending CVC and sight words
Reading fluency with grade-appropriate texts
Understanding story elements (characters, setting, events)
Listening comprehension and retelling
Targeted Math Skills (Kansas Math Standards):
Counting to 100 and skip-counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s
Understanding and representing numbers up to 120
Addition and subtraction within 20
Understanding place value (tens and ones)
Introduction to measurement, shapes, and simple data graphs

2nd & 3rd Gr: Homeschool Learning Pod
Strengthen literacy and math skills with targeted instruction and collaborative practice.
Targeted Reading Skills (Kansas ELA Standards):
Decoding multisyllabic words and applying phonics rules
Reading with expression and appropriate pacing
Determining the main idea and supporting details
Using text features to gather information
Writing short responses with complete sentences
Targeted Math Skills (Kansas Math Standards):
Addition and subtraction within 100 (2nd) and 1,000 (3rd)
Introduction and mastery of multiplication and division facts within 100
Understanding fractions as parts of a whole
Solving two-step word problems using the four operations
Measuring length, mass, volume, and telling time to the nearest minute
10:30 AM- 12:00 PM on Tuesdays/Thursdays

4th & 5th Gr: Homeschool Learning Pod
Build advanced literacy and math skills for academic confidence and readiness.
Targeted Reading Skills (Kansas ELA Standards):
Determining themes, main ideas, and summarizing key details
Comparing and contrasting characters, settings, or events
Using evidence from the text to support answers
Understanding figurative language and word relationships
Writing multi-paragraph responses with clear organization
Targeted Math Skills (Kansas Math Standards):
Multi-digit multiplication and long division
Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions and decimals
Understanding place value to the thousandths
Solving multi-step word problems involving all four operations
Understanding volume, area, perimeter, and angle measurement
